ABOUT ME
Experienced Lifestyle Guru
A little about me, I am the middle of five siblings; I have two older sisters a younger sister & a brother. I am 25 years old and I am from Port Washington, NY. I have my BS degree in psychology and sociology and have always intertwined art within each semester while studying. I have an extremely creative side to me that I have always been told I should share. I enjoy art immensely and I am especially very into fashion. I am social, but the type that does not go to clubs but is totally up for wine on a rooftop. I am a hard worker, an understanding person, kind, I am not aggressive but I am persistent about what is right, with that I am calm, adaptable and extremely passionate for who and what I love.
I recently decided to move to LA kind of out on a limb sort-of-speak. I wanted a change up and new people as well as a new job. I was feeling a little stuck in my hometown and feel good that I am here in LA now, but I am very much so looking for work. For money yes, but certainly for my own desires. Before this move, I worked for the Marcus Family as a caregiver/driver to their five children. I have worked for the family for four 1⁄2 years and earned my BS degree at the same time. I was the mothers “wing-man” as well as a close friend and loved every minute more than the next. When I took a step back and looked at my life overall, I realized that I really wanted more to life than knowing the same people in my town I’ve known for years, and seeing the same types of sights day to day. It wasn’t satisfying me, and I knew that if I wanted the life I’ve dreamed of; it was time to do something about it. That is when I quickly made the decision that LA, California would be my home base and I’d drive across country with my best friend and settle in. Like most people’s life, things quickly unfolded. Fast. People were sad to hear I was leaving, I was sad to be leaving, the move was more than I expected, packing was emotional, and everything was working out a little different from planned. I knew this move would be an experience of a lifetime and was prepared to take on whatever came my way. It was not exactly easy at first. It was extremely hard and lonely, for more reasons than not. However, after getting all settled in into my oh so comfortable 1 bedroom apartment I found myself just starring at walls with no job nor friends. Why did I move here? Alone….? What is my purpose? Did I make a mistake? These questions at first almost haunted me. Nevertheless, one day it came to me, use your walls! From watching all that I watch on Instagram, I realized that most people use a wall to get started with yoga. I use to be a gymnast so I always enjoyed being upside down but had not done so in years. I also have the weakest wrists ever because of gymnastics so I was a little hesitant. Except, when I did so I was in pure joy and I was not too bad! I started saving a bunch of beginner videos I had been seeing on Instagram and trying to mimic the “flow” sort-of speak of whoever created the video. Let me tell you, at first I would literally sit there, try a move, fail, and laugh at myself. Until it started to feel natural and was boosting my mood every day that I fooled around with some moves.

NEW YORKER MOVES TO LOS ANGELES
Being a New Yorker my whole life, a job was something molded into everyone’s life around me pretty early on, at the age of 12 or 13 or so. Everyone around you works, and they work hard. So I guess it only makes sense to at 13 to also want to be working hard and earning money for yourself. Whether you are forced to work or guided to- making money for yourself feels great, especially at 13! I’m sure many could agree. You need that money for God knows what but it’s prevalent to have. New Yorkers work, and being that 13 year old that worked proudly- this new journey and move of mine has pointed these key factors out about myself and about work ethic. I seriously miss working. How can this be ?!?! Fortunately, I was lucky enough to stumble upon a PT babysitting job as I look for the best suitable position that will sustain my life. BTW, I would have never been able to make this move if it was not for my prior jobs& the experiences I had in my suburban town that earned me opportunity to live comfortably & with this cushion. I have had this chance to see things I never really saw. Before this move, I was a nanny for 5 kids I like to refer as my younger set of sibs (b/c I too am 1 of 5). Those kids & my previous experiences over those 4 years changed my life & continue they continue to do so. Since I am a born NYer, my work ethic desire will be tamed, but I have now opened my eyes a little more widely than they once were; I’ve learned that “work “can involve a whole lot more than money entirely. To make a long story short- I’ve realized that work doesn’t always have to mean for money. To work and to have a job can mean many different things. You can work towards a goal, work in regards to wanting to learn something new about yourself, work on the person you are, the friend you are to others, you can work towards the way you want others to see you, work on beginning or perfecting your favorite hobby, work on your flaws and your greatness’s and so much more. It can take many by surprise, however, how little time we take to work on ourselves is minuscule to the amount of work we put towards the job life to fulfill other people’s wants and bank accounts. Then all your left with is money and some stranger you almost can’t take credit for at all. For you have only mended into the person you are willing to become, not even aware that this may not be the best version of you. To some extent; the outcomes don’t give you the same value per say but, if you try hard enough and pay attention to the smaller things in life- this type of “work” is rewarding to the mind and soul and that is something I can proudly say I’m sure of. Why? Because I feel it! ~I have no job in the money world, but I have many jobs in the ME world. ~Work.for.me~

CREATE RELATIONSHIPS WITH NEW HOBBIES
For the past 4 days, I have put myself up for a challenge. 5 wall handstands a day, while trying to lean off the wall most times to end off. Practicing something your horrible at seriously does pay off. I grew up a gymnast; I use to look at pictures like this with the mindset of “that’s kinda easy, I definitely can do that if I tried.” Okkkkkkk, no you cannot. Doing a handstand and holding it with complete balance at 25 is HARD WORK. Now, since I’ve somewhat got that hang of it and feel more comfortable tilting my body upside down, my body weirdly feels lighter during the process. Feels good to work on yourself and to work towards something that was hard and felt super awkward in the beginning. Some people who desired me to live more for me are girls that make life alive and everyday seem to fill it with greatness- I admire their energy to always get and do better, something that has really help me get off my butt (@sjanaelise@rocamoon @earthyandy ) THANKS PEEPSLife throws many surprises at us, and while we cannot predict the outcome of any situation, we can take control of how we respond to certain situations. With my coaching sessions, you’ll learn about acceptance and how to exert your power of choice over whatever life may throw at you.
