I recently moved to LA from NY, I'm 25 years old and very interested in the social media making world. I was never really into it, until I decided to move out to LA solo and had nothing to do while I was on a hunt for a job to be able to pay my rent. With little to do besides filling out about 20 applications a day, I found myself staring at the walls of my apartment, literally. Therefore, I began using the internet and watching Instagram influences do their thaaang sort-of-speak and I wanted to be a part of it. Seeing that I had some free rime (which I never do) I used my time and really searched the web about how to became an influences and most importantly, how to join in on sharing what I love most, healthy life style, fashion and yoga. I decided to make an Instagram account separate from my personal account to being advocating for these new hobbies and interests i got into during this new adventure of my life. An Instagram account turned into a website because I quickly learned that you’re nobody without a website for people to read up about you. Every day, I am working more and more on that and hope to update it more with new cool content! I am a very outdoorsy person who loves to hike, surf, swim, skate, run, any type of fun work out video and yoga! I try to surf as much as i can before or after work, catch either the sunrise or the sunset and everything else I try to fit in in the meantime or the remainder of my day. I am also extremely into fashion. My friends and family have always told me that I should do something in the fashion world because of my unique taste and the way I am able to piece things together as a statement. Outfits I put together are different from the “typical” trends and people love it. When I took a step back and looked at my life overall, I realized that I really wanted more to life than knowing the same people in my town I’ve known for years, and seeing the same types of sights day to day. It was not satisfying me, and I knew that if I wanted the life I have dreamed of; it was time to do something about it. That is when I quickly made the decision that LA, California would be my home base and I would drive across country with my best friend and settle in. Like most people’s life, things quickly unfolded. Fast. People were sad to hear I was leaving, I was sad to be leaving, the move was more than I expected, packing was emotional, and everything was working out a little different from planned. I knew this move would be an experience of a lifetime and was prepared to take on whatever came my way. It was not exactly easy at first. It was extremely hard and lonely, for more reasons than not. However, after getting all settled in into my oh so comfortable 1 bedroom apartment I found myself just starring at walls with no job nor friends. Why did I move here? Alone….? What is my purpose? Did I make a mistake? These questions at first almost haunted me. Nevertheless, one day it came to me, use your walls! One thing led to another, & now I'd like to share to whoever wants to be "a Jewel" how to create a relationship with hobbies, show off your style, and live a healthy life. Who wants in?!
